Gloria Nanette Skipper Soles, 74, of Whiteville, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
A native of Bladenboro, Nanette was born on June 25, 1949, daughter of the late Teed Skipper and Eunice Muse Skipper-Granger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Gene Soles and her step-father, Walter Granger; siblings, Patsy Thompson, Ruth Hayes, Rita Hitch, Wanda Singletary, and Janet Singletary.
Nanette retired as a receptionist with Dr. Ray Thigpen’s clinic in Whiteville.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Worthington Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Lewis Cemetery in Bladenboro.
The visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday at Worthington Funeral Home.
The surviving family includes three children: Darian McLean (Lucinda) of Nakina, Tina Daniels (Jack) of Bladenboro, and Beth Soles (John Nance) of Whiteville; grandchildren, Michelle McLean and Cole Nance; great-grandchildren, Atley and Amberlyn; and her beloved puppy, Cain.
