Hilda Estelle White Branch, age 94 of Evergreen, passed at Columbus Regional Healthcare System in Whiteville on Monday, April 21, 2025.
She was born on October 13, 1930, to the late Hubert Devon White and Nellie Russell White and the widow of Coval Jack Branch, Sr. Hilda was also preceded in death by a son, Coval Jack Branch, Jr.; a daughter, Renita Gail Branch and a sister, Melinda White Bullock.
Hilda was a switchboard operator at United Carolina Bank and later at Waccamaw Bank both in Whiteville for a total of 40 years.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Jeff Barton officiating.
Hilda is survived by a daughter in law, Susie Turbeville Branch of Chadbourn; grandchildren, Jack Landis Branch (Valerie) of Oak Island, Courtney Lynn Branch-Hajji (Zine) of Chadbourn and Whitney Ashton Branch of Evergreen; a great-grandson, Jack Henrik Miner of Evergreen; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
