Ruby Jane Cribb Blackwell, age 84, of Longs, SC, died Sunday, November 21, 2021 in her home. Born January 1, 1937 in Columbus County, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Wesley “Son” Cribb and Lettie Jane Cribb Cribb.
She is survived by four daughters: Shirley Jean Blackwell of Longs, SC, Nancy B. Schimp (Park) of Longs, SC, Margaret B. Alkire (Scott) of Orlando, FL and Diann Hornborg of Winter Park, FL; one son: Richard Blackwell (Kay) of Myrtle Beach, SC; two sisters: Mary Lee Bruton of Little River, SC, Willa Dean Ellison (David) of New Bern, NC; ten grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; one step grandson; five step great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two step great great granddaughters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Rozier Blackwell; six brothers: Clayton Cribb, Jr. Cribb, Charles Cribb, Phillip Cribb, Billy Cribb, and Bobby Cribb; three sisters: Pauline Pittock, Estelle Jolly, and Margie Cribb.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 26, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the Inman Ward Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Clarendon Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Cribb Cemetery.
