Franklin Leroy Boone, 80, of 447 Charles Ford Road, Cerro Gordo, N.C., died Thursday, Jan. 2, at his home.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Monday, Jan. 31, at Peoples Funeral Chapel by Rev. Maria Lacewell. Burial will be in the Mount Tabor Memorial Gardens.
Viewing will be at the funeral home Sunday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM.
Surviving are his wife, Earnestine Ford Boone; daughters, Frankye Newkirk (Cleo) of Cerro Gordo, Trina C. Boone-Brown (Sarita) of Greenville, N.C.; son, Dedric Powell (Cherice) of Pittsboro, N.C.; sisters, Blondell Junious of Hallsboro, Brenda Johnson of Brooklyn, N.Y., Betty F. Foster (Clarence) of Zuni, V.A., and brothers Robert Boone of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Harold Boone (Sharon) of Whiteville.
