MLB:  Derek Jeter steps down as CEO of the Miami Marlins. 

Today is the deadline for both sides to come together and resolve their CBA disputes and keep the regular season on track for a complete schedule. As of the time of this article, both sides are still far from coming together on an agreement. 


NBA Last Night:  Pistons over the Hornets 127-126 in overtime. Terry Rozier led Hornet scorers with 33 points and Miles Bridges had a double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds. LaMelo Ball led Charlotte with 7 assists, he also added 17 points. The Hornets are in Milwaukee tonight with an 8pm tip-off. 

76ers dispose of the Knicks 125-109 

Jazz takes down the Suns 118-114 

Pacers defeat the Celtics 128-107 

Clippers and Rockets 99-98 

Mavericks beat Warriors 107-101 

Nuggets shut down the Trail Blazers 124-92 

Lakers lost to the Pelicans 123-95 

Tonight:  Charlotte faces the Bucks tonight on the NBA TV Network at 8pm. 

Timberwolves and the Cavaliers 7pm 

Pacers at Magic 7pm 

The Heat host the Bulls at 7:30pm 

Raptors versus the Nets 7:30pm 

Spurs and the Grizzlies 8pm

NHL Yesterday:  The Hurricanes beat the Oilers 2-1. Tuevo Taravainen and Sabastian Aho scored goals for the Hurricanes. Frederik Andersen stopped 29 shots on goal. Carolina is now 37-11-4 and in first place in the Metropolitan division. The Hurricanes are back on the ice tomorrow in Detroit with a 7:30pm start time. 

Sabres fall to the Stars 4-2 

Blues shutout the Blackhawks 4-0 

Jets defeat the Coyotes 5-3  

Blue Jackets lost to the Penguins 3-2 

Canucks beat the Rangers 5-2 

Islanders blank the Ducks 4-0 

Sharks eat Kraken 3-1 

Tonight:  Maple Leafs and Capitals 7:30pm 

Canucks at the Devils 7:30pm 

Kings host the Bruins at 10:30pm 


NCAA Men’s Basketball Yesterday:  East Tennessee State beats UNC Greensboro 73=69 

Today:  Syracuse at North Carolina 7pm ESPN 

North Carolina Central versus Norfolk State 7:30pm 


NASCAR This Week:  NASCAR Cup Series: In the Wise Power 400 at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California 59 of the 200 laps were under caution. It was Kyle Larson that came from last place to first on the final laps and took the checkered flag in a race filled with 12 caution flags. Austin Dillon finished second and Eric Jones ended the race in third place. 

Pennzoil 400 is March 6 at the Las Vegas Speedway. Coverage starts at 3:30pm on FOX 

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series is at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on March 4 and Thursday, April 7, at 8pm at the Martinsville Speedway in Virginia
