Dorothy Helen Horne Fowler, age 91 of Whiteville, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Dot, as she was lovingly known, was born on August 10, 1930, in Columbus County, to the late William Henry Horne and Curley Walker Horne. She was the widow of James Earl Norris and Maurice Fowler; She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Pauline Benson., Eula Mae Simmons and a grandchild, Tammy Rabon Trimble.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2022 at the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Tony Ripley and Dr. Ray Thigpen officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday.
Survivors include her children, Patricia Ann Florke of Matthews, Mary Sue Price of the home, Robin Kaye Norris Etheridge (Jerry) of Whiteville; siblings, Thurman Horne (Barbara) of Sumter, Carolyn Fisher (Joe Dean) of Ocean Isle Beach; grandchildren, Paula Small, Danny Price, Jr., Tori Wilson (Matt); great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Price and Lakyn Wilson.
