William “Bill” Monroe Lewis, age 72, of Whiteville died Monday, July 11, 2022 with the love of his life by his side. He was born April 1, 1950 in Columbus County, NC to the late Thomas Purnell and Retha Mae Ward Lewis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Earl Boswell and nephew, Chris Norris.
He was survived by his wife, Jolene Fowler Lewis of the home, his sisters, Annie Mae Lewis Boswell of Whiteville, NC, Gloria Gayle Norris (Dennis) of Whiteville, NC and Rita Jane Housand (Ronnie) of Tabor City, NC.
Bill was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the United States Army Special Forces. He owned and operated Lewis Heating and Air.
His graveside service with Military Honors will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Myrtle Green Cemetery in Tabor City, NC with Reverends Dr. Wayne Brown and Dr. Fred Senter officiating.
