Oliver J. “J.J.” Hill 51, of Nakina passed on Friday, July 15, 2022 in Duke University Hospital. He was born August 10, 1970 in Merced County, California, the son of the late Oliver Jay Hill and Arnette Augusta Beck Hill.
He is survived by his wife Kenya Benton Hill; his children, Katlin Hill, Kenadee Hill, Kamden Hill, Klein Hill; sisters, Susanne Lee (Larry) of Shallotte, Wendy Hill of Clarendon, Bobbie Faircloth of Tabor City; father-in-law, Kenneth Benton; brother-in-law, Kameron Benton (Maria) and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, mother-in-law, Kathy Coleman; step father-in-law, A.L. Coleman and brother-in-law, Darrell Faircloth.
His funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Gore officiating. Burial will be in the Fowler-Stanley Cemetery.
His family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Peacock Funeral Home.
