Michael Wayne Boswell, 63, went to be with his Lord Sunday, August 14, 2022, at his home. He was born January 21, 1959, in Fernandina Beach, FL, a son of the late Wayne and Pauline (Barnhill) Boswell.
Mike grew up in Jacksonville, FL and attended Kirby Smith Junior High and Andrew Jackson High School. He joined the US Navy in 1976 but was honorably discharged in 1978 due to an injury.
Michael was a tow truck driver before moving to NC, where he was a carpenter and mechanic.
He is survived by his companion of 12 years, Linda Norris of the home; one sister, Peggy Boswell Graham and children, Daniyel, Joshua, and Michaele of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Melvin M. (Jackie) Boswell and children, Melvin, Jr., Lisa, Amanda, and Jonathan of Whiteville, NC and Jacksonville, FL; one son, Shawn (Jenny) Lynch of Columbus, OH; and three grandchildren, Isaac, Emmett, and Desmond.
Mike had many nephews and nieces, and they held a very special place in his heart. Mike was also a father figure to many children over the years. He will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank Robert Carter, his lifetime friend that meant the world to him and Christy Hart for all the care and love she has shown Michael during his illness, and her continued care of Linda.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby brother.
