Sammie Mitchell Cribb age 71 of Whiteville (Sidney Crossroads) went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 4, 2022, at the Lower Cape Fear LifeCare Center “ Angel House” in Whiteville.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Gapway Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Pete Cribb officiating.
The family will receive friends 10:15 a.m. until 10:50 a.m. at the cemetery.
He was the son of the late Dow W. Cribb and Martin Vernie Duncan Cribb and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Marilyn Michelle Cribb and three siblings, Oliver Martin Cribb, Joseph Thomas “J.T.” Cribb, and Verbee Cribb Cartrette.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gail Buffkin Cribb of Mt. Olive, SC; daughter, Melissa Cribb Phillps (Dean); siblings, Monnie Mae Cribb Turbeville of Sidney, Rosie Lee Cribb Walton of Lexington, Billy J. Cribb (Rachel) of Lexington, Bobby K. Cribb (Betty) of Sidney, Dee Easter Geneva Cribb Ward of Sidney, William Elgin Cribb (Brenda) of Ash, Benjamin Perry Cribb (Jewell) of Tabor City, Dow Shelton “Pete” Cribb (Shirley) of Sidney and Jeremiah “Jerry” Cribb (Shirley) of Sidney; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
