Peggy Ann Hinson Wilson, age 77 of Chadbourn, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022, at her home.
Born in Columbus County on December 15, 1944, Peggy was the daughter of the late Connie Hinson and Evelyn Green Hinson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Spencer Tracy Wilson and her daughter, Tonya Denise Wilson.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Worthington Funeral Home, with Interment to follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 1:00-1:45, prior to the service on Thursday.
Peggy had a deep love for gospel music, which was shown through her singing in a gospel group for many years.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie Lynn Wilson of Cerro Gordo, Tracy Dion Wilson and his wife, Cynthia of Whiteville; grandchildren, Candace W. Strickland, Christian W. Mitchell, and Riley Lynn Wilson; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Aiden, Tyler, Kendall, Leilani, Riley and Triston; siblings, Ernestine H. McClelland (Joel) of Cerro Gordo and Rudolph Hinson of Cerro Gordo. Peggy also leaves behind her “adopted daughter”, Sonja Sellers of Whiteville.
