Judy Carol Watts Faulk passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at the University of North Carolina Hospital at Chapel Hill. She was 76 years old.
Judy was born January 26, 1947, the daughter of the late Earl Bryant Watts and Rachel Ann Duncan Watts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Ray Faulk, her parents, brothers Edward Watts, Jessie Watts, Roy Watts, and sisters Lola Beltz, Pearl Watts, and Dorothy Mills.
A lifelong resident of Nakina, North Carolina, Judy was one of those southern ladies who could cook anything, sew anything, and make anything pretty. She was devoted to her sons, family and church and enjoyed her retirement, especially time shopping with her sisters and sister-in-law. Judy was a long time member of Seven Creeks Missionary Baptist Church where she held several positions including Sunday School Teacher, WMU Teacher, VBS Teacher and choir member.
She is survived by sons Timothy Ray Faulk and Terry Mitchell Faulk of Nakina, NC; Brother Jimmy Watts and wife, Violet of Nakina, NC; Sister Martha McGahen and husband, Gene of Whiteville, NC; Sister Pansy Dudley and husband, Guy of Hallsboro, NC; Sister-In-Laws Alma Long, Darlene Faulk, Katie Faulk, Elsie Faulk; and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at Peacock Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be 11:00am, Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Seven Creeks Missionary Baptist Church, officiated by Reverend Mark Hughes and Reverend Joe Turner. Burial will be following at the Stocks Cemetery, Nakina, North Carolina.
