James Leving Strickland, age 73, of Tabor City, NC, died Monday, October 16, 2023 in the McLeod Seacoast Hospital, Little River, SC. Born June 24, 1950 in Columbus County, NC, he was the son of the late Lascoe Strickland and Martha Virginia Small Strickland.
He is survived by his wife, Nanette M. Strickland of the home; one daughter, Natalie Frenier and husband Blake of Fuquay Varina, NC; one son, Colby Strickland and wife, Jessica of Chadbourn, NC; one brother, Eddie Strickland of Tabor City, NC; four sisters, NC, Linda Hilburn and husband Ronnie of Cerro Gordo, NC, and Emma Williamson and husband Carlton of Surfside Beach, SC; and three grandchildren, Lance Strickland, Davis Strickland, and Katlyn Frenier.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Cherry Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Cherry Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in the church. A service of Inman Ward Funeral Home & Crematory.
