September 13, 1935 ~ November 22, 2023 (age 88)
Frances Sue Hipps Honeycutt, 88, of Chapin, SC and formerly of Gastonia, NC, passed away on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, in the Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia, SC.
Frances was born on September 13, 1935, in Gaston County, daughter of the late Madison Robert Hipps and Mildred Lucy Price Hipps. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Franklin “Bill” Honeycutt; and six siblings, Elgin Hipps, Allene Grissom, Melvin Hipps, Herman “Hershey” Hipps, Richard “Dickie” Hipps, and John Hipps.
Final rites will be held at 3:00 pm. Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Worthington Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Robert Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 2:45 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Frances leaves behind three children, William Allen Honeycutt (Dawn Hampton) of Longs, SC, Susan H. Cox (Mervyn Jackson) of Chapin, SC and Richard F. Honeycutt (Brandy Dawdy) of Woodstock, GA; siblings, Bob Hipps of Montgomery, Alabama, Madison “Pedie” Hipps of Sarasota, Florida, Levoia Hipps of Sarasota, FL, Chris Hipps of Franklin, NC and David Hipps of Denver, Colorado;14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
