Winifred Beulah Bullard Johnson, 91, of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2023. She was born March 30, 1932 in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Rudolph Bullard and the late Ellen “Girlie” Byrd Bullard.
She was the widow of the late Ben Johnson and had been formerly married to the late John Sikes. She was a buyer for Moss Brothers in Tampa, Florida and Allied Merchandising Company. She was a member of Winter Park Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Anne Ogg (Russell Schoonover) of Kettle Falls, WA; a son, Jimmy Sikes of Wilmington, NC; three grandchildren, James Rudolph Sikes (Rachel) of Columbia, SC, Celia Anne Armstrong (Jeff) of Kingston Springs, TN and Melissa Sikes of Orlando, FL; and two great grandchildren, Caroline Armstrong and Austin Armstrong.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and two brothers, Charles Bullard and Billy Herman Bullard.
Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Peacock’s Chapel by Rev. Dallas Byrd. The family will received friends at 1:00 pm at Peacock Funeral Home prior to the service. Interment will be in Flynn Cemetery.
