Glenn Edward Hyer February 2, 1941 – February 9, 2024.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Glenn Edward Hyer. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Glenn Hyer is survived by his wife, Deborah Hyer; his children, Wayne Hyer, Tammy Heath, Glenda Hyer, and Justin Hyer; his step-children, Cindy Haney, James Lang, Jennifer Lang; his grandchildren, Samantha Crompton, Abigail Heath, Jordan Chrisman, Kylee Lang, and James Lang; his great-grandson, August Samuelson; and his sister Rebecca Deweese. He was predeceased by his father, Glenn A. Hyer, and his mother, Hazel L. Hyer.
Glenn Hyer proudly served his county and community through his service in the military and at Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department. He will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family, friends, and community.
The funeral service for Glenn Hyer will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Pleasant Plains Baptist Church in Whiteville, NC, 28472. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 10:00 am to 10:45 am. The memorial service will start at 11:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Glenn E. Hyer to Pleasant Plains Baptist Church in Whiteville or Saint Jude Children’s Hospital. We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Glenn Edward Hyer. May he rest in peace.
