Roger Dale Sellers age 78, of the Sellers Town community of Whiteville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, May 18, 2024 at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
Roger was the son of the late Eddie Sellers and Johnnie Carmichael Sellers and preceded in death by a daughter, Tammie Sellers and three siblings, E.J. Sellers, Leroy Sellers and Billy Sellers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Free Welcome Christian Church, with burial to follow in the Columbus Memorial Park; Pastor Roger Coffey and Pastor Mitchell Smith officiate the service.
The visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday evening, at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
Mr. Sellers was a member of Free Welcome Christian Church, and was a farmer in the Sellers Town community, lovingly known as the “Peanut Man”. He was also an avid UNC Tar Heels fan. 
Roger is survived by his wife, Carolyn Ann Long Sellers of the home; son, Nick Sellers and his wife, Crystal of Whiteville; his sister, Sara Sellers Hawes of Nakina; and a grandchild, Briley Sellers.
