Jerry Elbert Bright, 71, of Chadbourn passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, at McLeod Health Loris in Loris, SC.
Jerry was born on February 17, 1953, in Columbus County to the late William Arthur Bright and Eudelle Long Bright Todd. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Bright.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday June 15, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Worthington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Chadbourn Memorial Cemetery. Pastor Julian Thompson will officiate.
Visitation will be held prior to the service in the chapel from 10:00-10:45 a.m.
Jerry was the owner of Central Home Goods in Whiteville, NC.
Surviving family includes his wife, Bonnie Nobles Bright of the home; children, Jerry Christopher Bright (Billie) of Chadbourn, Amanda B. Arrington (Gregg) of Nashville, Melissa B. Cartrette (Steven) of Clarendon; grandchildren, Austin Bright, Corbin Bright, Logan Bright, Cody Bullard, Bailey Smith (Tray), Elijah Bullard, Noah Cartrette, and Mallory Gore; great-grandchildren, Kingston and Levi; siblings, Lois Dacus (Harold) of Chadbourn and Eunice Sellers (Gene) of Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the burial fund, c/o Worthington Funeral Home- PO Box 352 Chadbourn, NC or donations can be taken in our office building.
