Nettye Ruth Gowens Cokley, 83, of 278 Mill Pond Road, Whiteville, NC, died Monday, November 18, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Knightdale, NC.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 26, at Peoples Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Cherry Grove Cemetery.
Viewing and visitation with the family will be at the chapel Tuesday one hour prior to the service, and Eastern Star rites will be performed at 12:30 PM.
Surviving are her daughters, Andrea Davis of Knightdale, NC and Wanda Gowan of South Riding, VA; sisters, Ruby Crook, Peggy Martin, and Georgiana Turner of Greensboro, NC; brothers, Glenn Gowens and Nehemiah Gowens of Greensboro, NC.
