Herman Devon Cain, Sr. age 92 of Whiteville went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday April 13, 2025, at his residence.
Herman was born on February 15, 1933, son of the late William Giles Cain and Agnes Jewell Williams Cain. He was the husband to the late Nira Jane Richards Cain and Maxine Bullard Cain. He was also preceded in death by a son, Herman Devon Cain Jr.
Memorial services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 at Worthington Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Coffey officiating; The family will speak to friends following the memorial service.
Survivors include four children, Beth C. Greene of Fuquay Varina, Ramona C. Sweerus of Chadbourn, Stephen D. Cain of Whiteville and Clifford Darryl Cain of Whiteville; a sister, Rebecca Cain of Wilmington; grandchildren, Sarah Engles (Chris), Lydia Greene, Robert A. Wagner (Heather), Rhonda E. Wagner, Janna E. Cain, Erica F. Cain and Christopher Cain; twelve great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild on the way.
