
John Norman Lewis age 82, of Green Sea, SC., died Friday, July 4, 2025 in McLeod Seacoast Hospital, Little River, SC.
Born in Columbus County, NC., he was the son of the late Marvin Lewis and Eula Jane Fowler Lewis. John was a veteran where he served his country in the U.S. Air Force and later was the owner and operator of Lewis Starter and Alternator Repair in Tabor City for thirty years.
He is survived by his wife, Pearl Strickland Lewis of the home, two daughters, Tammy Lewis Blackman (Mitch) of Garner, NC., Mona Strickland Griffin (Corbitt) of Green Sea, SC., one brother, Phil Lewis of Raleigh, NC., four grandchildren, Everett Blackman (Miranda) Neil Blackman, Kylea Rogers, Olivia Rogers, one great granddaughter, Everly Blackman, one niece, Natalie Marshall, one nephew, Mark Marshall, brother-in- law, Levy Strickland (Wanda) of Tabor City, NC.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sue Marshall, one great-granddaughter, Lilian Blackman, one nephew, Stewart Marshall.
Graveside services with military honors will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at 2:00pm in the Myrtle Green Cemetery, Tabor City, NC.
Family will receive friends following the service in the cemetery.
