Serena Smith, Whiteville Ladies Basketball Coach, and Robby Priest, Head Football Coach of East Bladen, have been tabbed to All-Star games slated for next year.
Smith has been named East Head Coach of the East-West Girls All-Star Game for the summer of 2026. Smith is going into her 18th season at Whiteville. She led the Wolfpack to the second round this year and her Lady Pack won the conference three straight years from 2021-2023. Brian Graham of Cape Fear, Brett Lamb of Highlands, and John Shearin of T.W. Andrews will serve as her assistants on the East Squad.
Priest was also named as an assistant to the N.C. Coaches Association East-West All-Star game to be scheduled in December of 2026. Priest took over the helm at East Bladen Football after the retirement of Lenon Fisher in 2012. He served for 15 years prior as an assistant coach for the Eagles.
Since taking over at East Bladen, Priest has compiled an 88-55 record and led the Eagles to multiple conference titles and deep playoff runs. He will be joined by Head Coach Nathan Conner of D.H. Conley, assistants Travis Gastor of Princeton, David Reece of Triton, and Jay Wilson of Greene Central.
