Donovan Worley has been named as Tar Heel Middle School Panthers Athletic Director.
Worley, an East Columbus graduate, was a standout basketball player for the Gators. He attended UNC-Pembroke and graduated with a B.S. in Physical Education and Recreation. He has served as Head JV Coach at Whiteville where he led the JV Wolfpack to a conference title and a 17-2 record in the 2024 season. This past year, Worley coached football at West Columbus Middle School.
”I am excited for the challenge of being athletic director and leading our programs and our students in the right direction by leading with love, and hard work,” Worley said. “I want to be a part of positive change we all wish to see for our youth. I would like to make an imprint in the community and school, plus a chance to work with a great staff, members, students, parents, and coaches. The only limits in life are those you set on yourself.”
