In Tabor City, South Columbus got the best of East Bladen in Volleyball 3-1 in a non-conference matchup.
The Eagles came out strong winning the first set 25-13, but then the Stallions preceded to sweep the next three 25-16, 25-23, 26-24. The Stallions go to 1-0 while East Bladen falls to 0-1.
Hannah Hewitt’s Whiteville Wolfpack traveled to Wilmington Tuesday to take on New Hanover. The Wolfpack netters came up short in a 3-0 match. The Wildcats won all three matches by 25-12, 25-19, 25-12.
Whiteville falls to 0-1 after the non-conference loss.
