Phyllis Joann Wilkins Simmons, age 72, of Delco, NC, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Phyllis was born on June 29, 1953 in Columbus County to the late John Edison Wilkins and Carolynn Bryant Wilkins.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband; Robert Earl Simmons, sons; Christopher Earl Simmons (Felicia) and Timothy Dwayne Simmons (Amanda), and grandchildren; Hunter, Marrisa, Isabella, Remington, Tucker, Lukes.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 2:00 pm in Prosper Community Cemetery, Delco, NC with Rev. Calvin Malpass officiating.
McKenzie Mortuary, 112 Jefferson Street, Whiteville, NC is serving the Simmons’ family.
