January 14, 1967 ~ September 1, 2025 (age 58)
James Alfred Jacobs was born January 14, 1967. God called him home on Monday, September 1, 2025, at the age of 58 years old. James is survived by his wife, Nikki Jacobs of the home, and their eight children whom he loved and cherished dearly.
James was a family man and everywhere you saw him, you saw his children also. Anytime he wasn’t at work, you could find him outside working on a multitude of different vehicles. Whether it belonged to him, his wife, one of the children, or just a family friend that needed help. James was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone no matter what the need.
James was a brick mason and a jack of all trades. There was not anything James couldn’t take care of. He hardly ever took a day off from work. Whether it was rain, sleet, or sunshine, James was always hard-working. His work ethic was unquestionable and he left behind big shoes to fill.
James was a man of few words, but when he spoke you always listened. He didn’t mind teaching his children or grandchildren anything about what he was working on. He left a stamp on all of their hearts, and although he may not be here with them on Earth, he will forever be in their hearts.
James leaves to cherish his memory his wife Nikki and their eight children; Larry Brown and Reagan, Daniel Jacobs and wife Natasha, Justin Jacobs, Kiona Jacobs, Courtney Jacobs, Sarita Jacobs and husband Connor, Wynter Lunsford, and Amiyah Jacobs; nineteen grandchildren; his mother, Ellen Freeman, that loved him dearly; three brothers, Dan Freeman and his wife Jackie, Wayne Patrick, and John Wesley Patrick; and two sisters, Donna Freeman and Tiffany Freeman. He was preceded in death by his father, Melton Freeman.
His funeral service will be held Monday, September 8, 2025, at 3:00pm at Mt Sinai Holiness Church with Elder Michael Jacobs officiating. His family will receive friends one hour prior to his service at the church.
