The Youth Developmental Basketball League (YDBL) and Whiteville Parks and Recreation are launching “Her First Shot.” This is a basketball camp made for girls ages 7-12 ready to work on their game and confidence.
The camp is designed to cover the fundamentals: footwork, dribbling, shooting, defense, etc. Confidence will be covered in drills that will enhance leadership and communication skills. The camp is designed to be fun and community oriented. Campers will learn in a safe environment that promotes friendship, growth, and a love for the game.
The camp will provide guest instructors from the collegiate and professional levels. Plans are to start in October on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-7:30 pm at the Whiteville Parks and Recreation Gym. To register, visit www.playybdl.com .
