In Burgaw, Pender opened a 3-1 lead in the first half on their way to a 5-4 victory over West Bladen. Adam Arreola and Elvis Hernandez scored two goals each for the Patriots. Jonah Bryan and Alejandro Lopez scored two goals apiece for the Knights (2-4-1). West Bladen travels to Union (5-3) Monday for their next match.
In Elizabethtown, the Eagles saw a 2-0 lead slip away with 11 minutes to go as they tied Hobbton 2-2. Ishaq Algozy scored a goal and had an assist while Jayce Hatcher provided the other goal for the Eagles. East Bladen is now 0-0-1 in the conference and 3-3-3 overall. They will travel to North Duplin (1-1,1-2) on Monday.
