Nathan McKinnies, age 53, of Chadbourn, NC, passed away on Monday, September 22, 2025.A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at First Missionary Baptist Church, located at 505 South Wilkes Street, Chadbourn. Pastor Virgil Reaves will serve as the Eulogist.

Viewing will take place at the church on Saturday, prior to and following the service.

Nathan leaves to cherish his memory his beloved fiancée, Lolita McKinnies; his four sons: Darius McKinnies, Tyriek McKinnies, Natrell McKinnies, and Chris “Archie” Smith; his three daughters: LaTaysha Mason, Nyasia McKinnies, and Jnia Watson; and six grandchildren.

He is also survived by his mother, Barbara Jones (Curt) of Chadbourn, NC; his father, Nathaniel McKinnies of Tabor City, NC; and his grandmother, Fannie Chestnut of Chadbourn, NC.

His loving siblings include three sisters: Wanda Bellamy (Chris) of Loris, SC, Shawn McKinnies, and Sharon McKinnies (Rico) of Fayetteville, NC; and one brother, Gregory McKinnies of New York. A special cousin, Roosevelt Chestnut,
