Henslee Johnson Speights, age 68 of Whiteville formerly of Lumberton, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Lower Cape Fear Lifecare.
He was born to the late Curtis Walter Speights and Betty Gray Miller Speights.
Henslee retired from the United States Navy after over 20 years of service to his country.
Surviving family includes his wife, Peggy Bozeman Grainger of the home; step-daughter, Christy Priest (Roy) of Carlsbad, New Mexico; siblings, Curtis W. Speights Jr. (Lynne) of King, Robert L. Speights (Patty) of Lumberton, Sarah Lynne Mayes of Fairmont, and Norma Gray Hill of Fairmont.
