Wade Burnell Jordan Jr. was born on June 20, 1956, at James Walker Hospital in New Hanover County, Wilmington, North Carolina passed away on Saturday November 15, 2025, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center Rehab Center at the age of 69.
Wade is survived by his wife, Mary Eva Daughtry Jordan of 37 years, and son Jason Wade Jordan, sisters: Elaine Fowler (Cleve Fowler) and Marlene Robinson; brother-in-law Andrew Saunders, and lots of family and friends. Best friends, Kevin Squires and Jimmy Ham. Wade is proceeded in death by his father Wade Burnell Jordan Sr, mother Nellie Mae Coleman Jordan, sister Darlene Saunders, brother Eddie Jordan and niece Nessie Fowler.
He was a dedicated and active member of Delco PFWB Church. He was a former deacon and sang in the choir. He graduated from Acme Delco High School in 1974. He sang with the FFA Quartet, winning the state competition, then went to Kansas City and sang for then President Gerald Ford.
Wade worked at International Paper for 40 years. He also worked at Royster Fertilizer Company for three years while in high school.
His hobbies were golfing with his close friends, attending all sporting events, going to the mountains, going to the movies and theater shows with his son Jason, and spending time with family and friends.
A Service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Delco PFWB Church in Delco, NC. The visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
Arrangements made by Coble Funeral Home. The service will be conducted by Rev. Dave Lestik and Rev. Pasty Smith.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Squires, Jimmy Ham, David Robinson, Andrew Saunders, Bryant Smith, and Kelton King. Honorary Pallbearers will be Gerald Smith, William Skipper, Charles Smith, Elvin Easter, and Wayne Parker.
Burial will be at Delco Cemetery following the funeral service.
