Here’s today’s Bottom Line

A warm front will lift north over the area today. This will bring considerable cloudiness to the area with an increase in humidity values this afternoon. An unseasonably warm and humid pattern stays in place through Saturday until a cold front crosses the area during the evening hours.

A few spotty showers are possible tonight in the muggy air pattern; a spotty shower or thunderstorm is possible Saturday afternoon ahead of the approaching cold front.

The front clears the coast during the overnight hours Saturday night/early Sunday followed by high pressure of Canadian origin. Temperatures on Sunday will be at least 10-15 degrees colder than on Saturday … actually Sunday’s highs will be right about where they should be this time of year.

The colder air will be in place Sunday night as high pressure moves directly overhead. Lows will drop down into the 30s with frost.

The high moves off the coast by early next week allowing warmer temperatures to push back into the area.

The first of two cold fronts will move through sometime Tuesday or Tuesday night with a few scattered showers possible. Not much cold air behind this first front, but the second front moves through later Wednesday. This second front appears dry at this time for the busiest travel day of the year.

THANKSGIVING: As of right now Thanksgiving appears to be dry with seasonable temperatures — highs in the mid to upper 60s.  The GFS continues to insist on a more significant storm system dragging yet another front through here late Thanksgiving and into Black Friday with better rain chances, while the Euro continues a dry outlook through the weekend.  Too soon to call particulars at this point.
