Here’s today’s Bottom Line

A cold front will sweep across the area this morning. We’re experiencing some gusty winds, which will continue after the frontal passage. Winds could gust as high as 30-40 mph at times, and will shift from southwest this morning to west/northwest this afternoon.

We’ll achieve our high temperatures this morning, and temperatures will fall through the afternoon. Now this isn’t going to be the same kind of crash we had last Sunday but by time we sit down to supper this evening, temps will be in the lower 50s.

Tonight will feature clear skies and winds calming down quite a bit as Canadian high pressure starts to settle in. Lows will be a few degrees either side of the freezing mark… just a touch below seasonal normal values.

Abundant sunshine will be the dominating weather factor right through the Christmas holiday.

Seasonable highs on Saturday in the upper 50s to around 60… will warm into the lower and middle 60s on Sunday. A dry cold front moves through late Sunday afternoon and temps dip back below freezing Sunday night.

Cold air will be in place for Monday and Monday night with highs in the 50s, lows in the mid to upper 20s.

Then warmer air starts to push in for Tuesday through Christmas. Strong high pressure ridging will provide temps in the lower 60s on Tuesday, rising to potentially the lower 70s on Christmas. All weather systems will rotate well to our north, resulting in nearly zero precipitation chances.
