NEWTON GROVE—West Columbus boys improved to 3-2 in the Carolina Conference with a victory over Hobbton Tuesday, 55-47.
West Columbus (5-8) will host North Duplin (2-2, 5-7) this Friday. The Wildcats, now 2-2 in the Carolina Conference and 4-8 overall, will host East Columbus (3-0, 3-6) Friday.
West Columbus girls took home their first win of the season as they defeated Hobbton 47-6 on Tuesday night. Demya Powell garnered 18 points and 12 rebounds for the Vikings. Iyana Lowery added 12 points in the victory.
West Columbus will take on North Duplin (4-0, 10-3) on Friday, when Hobbton entertains East Columbus (2-1, 6-4).
