UNION—East Columbus took care of Union 19-0 in softball on Thursday.
They also defeated the Spartans 14-0 later in the day as part of a double-header. Jenna King led the Gators with four hits and six RBIs in the victory. Amber Achoa pitched three innings, giving up one hit and striking out six in the win. The Gators are now 4-0 in the Carolina Conference and 7-1 on the season. They will travel to Lakewood 0-1, 2-6) on Tuesday. Union falls to 0-3 in the conference and 4-4 on the year, and they will go to Lakewood on March 23.

CERRO GORDO—East Bladen pounded out 20 hits in defeating West Columbus in girls’ softball Thursday 18-8.
Niyah Wooten led the Eagles with five hits, five runs, and five RBI’s. Tatum Allen added four hits, five runs, and two runs batted in while teammate Grayce Edwards contributed two hits and three RBI’s. The Eagles (1-1, 3-4) will travel to Dublin in Monday to face county-rival West Bladen (2-7) on Monday. West Columbus falls to 2-2 in the Carolina Conference and 2-6 overall. The Vikings will travel to Hobbton (0-1, 0-1) on March 24.

DILLON, S.C.—Pitcher Zoee Chavis hit a double to knock in two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to lead Dillon past West Bladen 4-2 on Friday.
Chavis pitched a complete game, giving up six hits, two runs, and striking out seven in the win. Breanna Hester had two hits and an RBI and Addison Wilcox went two for four with a double and an RBI in the loss for the Knights. Dillon (5-4) will host Aynor (7-3) on Tuesday. West Bladen (2-7) will travel to Elizabethtown to face county-rival East Bladen (3-4) on Monday.
