BOILING SPRINGS—Layton McLean hit a double to bring in three runs as Whiteville as the Wolfpack defeated South Brunswick 6-3 in baseball on Monday night. The win moves Whiteville to 3-0 in the Southeastern Conference and 8-3 on the year.

Nate Merritt allowed four hits and one run for the win in a complete game effort. South Brunswick (2-1, 7-4) and the Pack will do a rematch at Legion Field on Wednesday.

HOBBTON 12, EAST BLADEN 0

ELIZABETHTOWN—Lathan Warren pitched a one-hitter for Hobbton as the Wildcats crushed East Bladen 12-0 on Monday night in baseball.

Nathan Neal had two hits and three RBIs while Braxton McLamb had three hits for the Wildcats.

Hobbton (4-1, 6-3) will host Union (0-5, 0-14) on Tuesday. East Bladen falls to 4-1 in the Carolina Conference and 6-5 on the season. They will host the Gators of East Columbus (4-1, 7-3) on March 31.

WEST BLADEN 11, FAIRMONT 0

DUBLIN—West Bladen gave up three hits on Monday in defeating Fairmont in baseball 11-0. The win ended a four-game losing streak for the Knights (1-2, 8-5).

Hunter Hester had two hits and two RBI’s for West Bladen. The Knights will face Fairmont (1-2, 4-8) in a Southeastern Conference rematch on Wednesday at Fairmont.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK 11, WHITEVILLE 1

BOILING SPRINGS—South Brunswick pounded out 11 runs on 12 hits to beat Whiteville Monday in Softball.

Lily Thrift led the Cougars at the plate, going 3 for 3 with two RBIs. South Columbus moves to 3-0 in the Southeastern Conference and 9-4 overall. The Pack fall to 0-3 and 0-8 on the season. The two teams will do a rematch on Wednesday at Whiteville.

WEST BLADEN 10, FAIRMONT 0

DUBLIN—Addison Wilcox pounded out a double, triple, and drove in three runs as the Knights beat Fairmont 10-0 in softball. Allison Wilcox gave up three hits and struck out seven going the distance for the win. West Bladen (3-0, 6-7) and Fairmont (1-2, 4-7) will play each other again on Wednesday in Fairmont.
