TABOR CITY—South Columbus exploded for 21 runs in the fifth inning as the Stallions downed James Kenan 21-3 in the baseball 3A playoffs on Tuesday night. The #15 seed Stallions will visit #2 McMichael (19-5) on Friday in the second round. James Kenan’s season ends at 6-12.

EAST BLADEN 10, WEST COLUMBUS 0

ELIZABETHTOWN—East Bladen downed West Columbus 10-0 in the first round of the 2A playoffs. The Vikings season ends at 7-15. East Bladen (12-10) will travel to Clayton to face #6 ALA-Johnson (15-9) on Friday. The Eagles are the #11 seed in the 2A playoff bracket.

LAKE WACCAMAW—East Columbus gave up one hit as the Gators defeated Mattamuskeet 10-0 in the first round of the 1A playoffs on Tuesday. The #5 seed East Columbus (15-6) will travel to Southeastern Collegiate (9-3) the #4 seed on Friday.
