Whiteville City Schools School Nutrition Program and the U.S. Department of Agriculture will be partnering together to offer free meals all summer long for students. WCS will not only operate a walk-in meal site, but they will also have a mobile meal box delivery truck as well. The food is for kids ages 1-18 years old.
Edgewood Elementary will be open Monday through Thursday from June 15 until Aug. 13 for kids to sit down and eat breakfast and lunch. Breakfast will be served 7:30 a.m. – 9 a.m., and lunch will be available from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
The school is located at 317 East Calhoun Street in Whiteville.
The mobile meal service will deliver boxes on Mondays from June 15 through Aug. 10 and on Tuesdays from June 16 until Aug. 11. Each box will contain seven breakfasts and seven lunches.

- Sandy Ridge- 10:25-10:45 a.m.
- Kent Place- 10:50-11:10 a.m.
- Town of Chadbourn – 1-2 p.m.
Tuesdays
- Brookberry Apartments – 10:30-10:45 a.m.
- Whiteville Housing- 11-11:15 a.m.
- Copperstone- 12:45-1 p.m.
- Sawmill- 1:05-1:20 p.m.
- Powell’s Mobile Home Park – 1:30- 2 p.m.
- Fairfield Mobile Home Park – 2:15- 2:45 p.m.
