BLADENBORO–Mayor David William Hales, Jr. of Bladenboro was born on July 27, 1958 and passed away on Nov. 4, 2026 at the age of 68. He was the son of the late David William Hales, Sr and Helen Sealey Hales.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026 in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of Bladenboro from 6-8 p.m. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Cassidy Hales: 413 Forest Dr., Bladenboro, N.C. 28320.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026 at the First Baptist Church of Bladenboro. Burial will follow at the Hickory Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Bladenboro.
