Harvey “Junior” Bass, age 85 of Whiteville, passed on Friday, November 26, 2021, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, at the Lebanon United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Thomas Perritt officiating.


He was the son of the late Harvey Bass, Sr. and Pearl Carter Bass. He was also preceded in death by four siblings, Robert Stewart, Harry Stewart, Lee Stewart, and Ann S. Cartrette.


He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judy Ann Long Bass of the home; four daughter, Kathy B. Butler (George) of Clarendon, Tammy B. Thompson (Jerry) of Whiteville, Gayle B. Sellers (Charles) of Whiteville and Nancy Waddell of Whiteville seven grandchildren, Neil Sellers, Shannon Smith, Brian Sellers, Koty Ward (Jennifer), Brett Butler, Maggie Butler and Allison Butler; and seven great-grandchildren; Courtney Sellers, Jeremy Sellers, Lani Sellers, Bailey Sellers, Isabella Ward, Aiden Ward and MaeBree Larrimore.


Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn is serving the family.
