Lawrence “Porky” Dean Ward, age 62 of Whiteville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at his residence.
Porky, as he was lovingly known, was born on April 28, 1958. He was the son of the late Lawrence Harold Ward and Daisy Mayzell Milligan Ward.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Boswell Ward of Whiteville; children, Deidre W. Collins (Scott) of Lake Waccamaw, Coty L. Ward (Chelsea) of Clarkton, Zachary D. Ward (Emily) of Tabor City, Halie Ward Hayes (Deon) of Cerro Gordo and Christopher Williamson (Robin) of Spartanburg, SC; siblings, Donald Hill of Bladenboro, Bobby Ward of Clarkton, and Glenda W. Bartley of Evergreen; grandchildren, Emma Grace Berry, DaeLyne Rae Ward, Jace Anthony Collins, Emerson Drake Hayes, Dakota Lawrence Ward, River Scott Collins, Alex Hunter Strickland, Kylee Rose Strickland, Christopher Hayden Williamson.
