Mrs. Susan Gooding Parker 73, of Whiteville passed on Saturday, December 4, 2021 in Columbus Regional Healthcare. She was born October 16, 1948 in Robeson County, the daughter of the late Lawrence Gooding and Willette Hayes Gooding. Mrs. Parker graduated from Campbell College and received her degree in elementary education. She taught in the Whiteville City, Columbus County, Scotland County, and Johnston County schools systems.
She is survived by her husband, Charles S. Parker; a son, Sam Parker and wife, Rembret of Clarkton; two daughters, Helen Kelly Green and husband, David of Whiteville, Rebecca Parker of Wilmington; four grandchildren, Eli Green, Adrienne Green, Tyler Parker and Caroline Parker.
Her arrangements will be announced.
