NCAA: Men’s Football

The matchup for the National Championship game on Jan 10, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis has been determined. Number one ranked Alabama easily took care of business in the Cotton Bowl against the number four ranked Cincinatti Bearcats 27-6. This locked the Crimson Tide in for the big game. The winner of the Orange Bowl would face Alabama. Number two Michigan Wolverines faced the Georgia Bulldogs, ranked number three. The Bulldogs scored first and never looked back, winning the Orange Bowl 34-11. Georgia lost Dec 4, 2021 to the Tide 41-24 and look to avenge this loss. The Alabama Crimson Tide have won six National Championships under Nick Saban. Coach Saban has seven total National Championships, putting him ahead of the coaching record held by former Alabama icon, Coach Paul “Bear” Bryant, who had six.
