Gregory Monroe Kissam, 54, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 31, 2021. He was born September 17, 1967. Greg was preceded in death by his precious mother, Janice Garrell Strauss, paternal grandparents, Burton and Christine Kissam, Maternal grandparents, L.C and Sarah Garrell, and step-grandfather, Phil Ward.

Upon graduating from Hallsboro High School, Greg entered the workforce always putting his best foot forward to provide for the one’s he loved. With the love of working in Commercial and Fleet Truck Sales at Randy Marion Chevrolet of Mooresville, NC, Greg’s presence was known as a friend, respected co-worker and smiling face for many years.

In 1989, he married his high school sweetheart, soul mate and best friend committing to a lifetime of loving her. This union was blessed with two beautiful daughters in whom he would go to ends of the earth for.

A member of First Baptist Church Lake Waccamaw, Greg’s presence was also known, because of his willing to serve in many different ways over the years. His love for God and his church will be greatly missed. For all who knew Greg, his sweet spirit, love of Christian music, singing talent, goofy ways, little grin, his love of golf, sports, servants heart and most of all his desire to exemplify Christ, so that all may know Him, will be greatly missed. May God be with us until we meet again.

Greg is survived by his wife, Sharon Harrelson Kissam of Whiteville; daughter, Olivia Grace Kissam of Myrtle Beach, SC and Eden Daley Kissam of Whiteville; father, Bennie Monroe Kissam  and step-mother, Janice of Supply; step-father, Steve Strauss of Greensboro; brother, Chris Kissam (Jen) of Greensboro; sisters, Michelle Edmund (Phil) of Supply, Letisha Elks (Charlie)of Greensboro, Stephanie Wampler (Bruce) of Greensboro, Tabitha Costin of Greensboro, Kristy Billingsley of Greensboro and K.K Strauss of Greensboro; father and mother-in-law, Donald and Lela Harrelson of Whiteville; brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Janice Carter of Campobello, SC, Darin and Christy Harrelson of Lake Waccamaw, Craig and Rebekah Harrelson of Inman, SC; the family’s sweet canine, Sadie, who never left his side and many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM in First Baptist Church Lake Waccamaw.

His memorial service will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM in First Baptist Church Lake Waccamaw.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Children’s Ministry of First Baptist Church Lake Waccamaw, P.O Box 202, Lake Waccamaw, NC 28450.
