Mr. Jerry Elmore Ward 73, of Whiteville passed on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in Columbus Regional Healthcare. He was born in Columbus County, the son of the late Solon Ward and Sadie Spivey Ward. His wife of 52 years, Judith S. Ward preceded in in death on November 20, 2021.
He was a retired farmer.
He is survived by two sons, Gregory Ward (Aneshia), Jamie Ward (Mary Lisa), all of Whiteville; brothers, Richard Ward (Betty), Floyd Ward (Rachel), Paul Ward (Jane) all of Whiteville; sisters, Betty Lou Stanley of Lake Waccamaw, Sara Smith of Lake Waccamaw, Martha Walker (Ronnie) of Whiteville; grandchildren, Henry Ward and Jacob Ward.
His funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Monday, January 31, 2022 graveside at the Ward Family Cemetery with Matt West officiating.
