1/17/22 Sports Wrap Up 

NFL:  The Cardinals are at the Rams tonight on ESPN at 8:15pm 

Raiders lost to the Bengals 26-19 

Bills beat the Patriots 47-17.  

Tampa Bay made it look easy 31-15 over the Eagles. Tom Brady threw two touchdowns and 243 yards in the win. 

49ers defeat the Cowboys 23-17. Cowboys poor play calling and time management at the end of the game, cost them a chance to tie and possibly take the lead, with under a minute to play. The Cowboys also committed 14 penalties. The Cowboys eleventh straight playoff appearance without reaching the Championship game is an NFL record. 

The Steelers get manhandled by the Chiefs 42-21. It is projected that this was Ben Roethlisberger last game, he played all his 18 seasons with Pittsburgh. Patrick Mahomes threw for 5 touchdowns, 404 yards and was 30/39 on completions.

Local:  Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball returns to action tomorrow.  

South Columbus Boys and Girls Varsity will be looking for their first win of the season. They are 0-13 and the Stallions travel to take on Heide Trask. The boys play first with a 4pm tip-off scheduled, girls at 6pm. 

Both Varsity squads of the Wolfpack of Whiteville High face off against West Columbus tomorrow. Boys at 4pm, girls at 6pm
