John Douglas Elliot, age 81 of Chadbourn, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
John Douglas was born on November 2, 1940, in New Hanover County, to the late Dr. George Douglas Elliot and Dorothy Dick Elliot. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jean Elliot.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Chadbourn Presbyterian Church. Interment will follow in the Powell Cemetery in Fair Bluff; Dr. Joe Washburn will officiate the services.
A viewing will be held from 8:30-10:30 a.m. prior to the service at Worthington Funeral Home in Chadbourn.
Mr. Elliot was a faithful member of Chadbourn Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mickie Joyce Edwards Elliot of the home; daughter, Georgia E. Blanton (Dale) of Wilmington; grandchildren, Evan Alexander Blanton, and Elliot Allen Blanton, as well as many loved ones of the Edwards Family.
Memorials may be made to Chadbourn Presbyterian Church or to the Fair Bluff Historical Society.
