Mr. Danny Ray Soles 63, of Whiteville passed on Friday, December 29, 2023 in Columbus Regional Healthcare. He was born February 13, 1960 in Durham County, NC the son of the late Junior Soles and Essie Rae Ransom Soles.
Danny started and operated his business Soles & Sons Heating and Air in 1991 until November 7, 1996 when he was injured in a serious automobile accident. He has been a resident of Shoreland Retirement and Healthcare. Danny was a very friendly man who did not know a stranger. Danny was an avid racer and known as a rico roller. Danny loved to hunt, fish and spend time in the NC mountains. He was a simple man and loved his family more than anything. Although he will be missed, he will always have a place in our hearts. We love you Daddy!
He is survived by two sons, Danny Soles, Jr. (Kristie) of Oak Island and Ricky Soles (Shana) of Chadbourn; a daughter, Allison Rockenbach (Paul) of Whiteville; stepmother, Pearl Gore Soles of Chadbourn; grandchildren, Isaac Soles, Trey Soles, Laney Soles, Shalynn Soles, Ryker Soles and Sadie Rockenbach; sisters, Pamela Soles Freeman of Clarkton and Amaryllis Soles (Tim McPherson) of Chadbourn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ricky Dean Soles; a grandson, Abel Rhett Soles.
His funeral service will be at 1:00 pm Monday, January 1, 2024 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.Gary McMillian and Rev. Myles Cartrette officiating. Burial will be in Peacock’s Columbus Memorial Park.
