Louis Spencer Peterson, 87, of Council, NC, died Friday, January 12, 2024, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Whiteville. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
The funeral will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, January 23, at Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, 10133 NC Highway 211 East, Council, NC, by Rev. Charles Parker. Burial, with military honors, will be in the New Hope Community Cemetery.
Viewing will be at Peoples Funeral Chapel Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 PM and at the church Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
Surviving are his daughter, Anita Peterson of Bronx, NY; sons, Louis Dexter Peterson of Brooklyn, NY and Eric Williams of Knightdale, NY; sister, Vivian Peterson of Council, NC.
