Rosalee (Tyler) Williams

July 19, 1937 ~ January 8, 2024 (age 86)

Rosalee Williams  86, of Mocksville, formerly of Columbus County passed on January 8, 2024 in Mocksville Senior Living Center.  She was born in Columbus County, the daughter of the late Lloyd Legrette Tyler and Jona Mae Cox Tyler. She was the widow of the late William Kenneth Williams.

Rosalee retired  from Carolina Telephone Company after 22 years and retired as a switchboard operator from Columbus County Hospital.  She was formerly employed with Gore’s Trailer Co and Hardware. Her interests include gardening and flowers, travel in Canada, Paris, London, and USA East Coast (Maine to Florida) and Wimbleton. She loved the mountains, especially Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. She loved the NC and SC beaches. She attended country music and Elvis Presley concerts. She enjoyed cooking, seek-n-find puzzles, soap operas and bingo.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah (Debbie) Williams Moore (Michael) of Little Switzerland, NC and Tanya Renee Williams Allen (Michael)  of Advance, NC; five grandchildren, JoAnna Rose Inman Williamson (Brian) of Greensboro, Shannon Renee Kelly and Jeremy Lynn Kelly of Kernersville, NC,  Kennedy Mayson Larrimore (Chris) of Mocksville, NC, Williams Chandler Allen (Madison) of Advance, NC;  great grandchildren, Haleigh Rose Inman  and Eli Zinedine Njihi of Greensboro, NC ,  and Berkley J. Allen of Advance, NC; nieces and nephews, David Horne (Janice) of Apex, NC, Keith Tyler of Gastonia, NC, Angela Tyler of Lake Waccamaw, NC, Gina Tyler (Mike) of Delco, NC, Tony Tyler of Virginia, Freddy Norris of Whiteville, Dana Gore of Leland, NC, and  Brett Gore (Rhona) of Whiteville; brother in law, Jackson Gore of Whiteville.

She was preceded in death by her parents;  sisters, Lillie Mae Williamson and Mary Lucille Horne; a brother, Raymond Tyler.

Her funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 14,,2024 at Peacock Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will be in Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.

Her family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 pm Sunday at Peacock funeral home prior to her service in the chapel.
